Μετάφραση The Aquarium of Rhodes is located at the northern edge of Rhodes, just a few steps from the city center. The Hydrobiological Station of Rhodes is one of the important centers of marine research in Greece and is housed in a historic building dating from 1935. This aquarium is definately worth a visit! It shows fish and species living in the med. An added bonus is how cool it is inside. First thing though is how it seems a real landmark building at that end of the island. Then inside the staff were really friendly. Then there is the atmosphere. There is a real sensation of being underwater and being part of that world and that stillness. My partner and I really enjoyed the whole experience. Will return.

As a historical building with Art Deco influences and pure Mediterranean fauna exhibits, this small Aquarium is more than worth visiting!!! In the entrance, you are welcomed by people who are willing to help you get a better picture of the exhibits you meet. As you are walking on mosaics with seastars and other marine organisms, going through a ''cave-like'' tunnel of rocks gives you an underwater feeling. Lobsters, groupers and many other marine species certainly gives you a good idea on what organisms lives under your feet when you are swimming in the clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Our kids were amazed.
